This was not a race defined by podiums, medals, or finishing times. Instead, the Tri-Isla-Thon stood for\u00a0community, fitness, connection, and support for local education on Gili Air<\/strong>. The Gili Islands\u2014Gili Air, Gili Trawangan, and Gili Meno<\/strong>\u2014are best known for their white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and relaxed island lifestyle. Together they form the\u00a0Gili Matra Marine Park<\/strong>, a protected area that balances tourism, conservation, and local community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tri-Isla-Thon offers a completely different way to experience these islands. Instead of viewing them from a boat or underwater, runners explore the\u00a0entire coastline on foot<\/strong>, feeling the changing terrain, the humidity of the early morning air, and the gradual rise of the sun over the Lombok Strait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Instructor Irene, this was where the run truly became challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
