** The PADI Instructor Examination takes place on Gili Air only with a minimum amount of 4 IDC candidates. Otherwise the IE will be held on Gili Trawangan.
The PADI IDC at our dive resort takes 20 days. In these 20 days PADI Course Director Sander Buis will conduct different workshops. These workshops are part of the PADI curiculum. But Sander is not only teaching the PADI curiculum. Sander will use his experience as a PADI Instructor in the past; teaching all over the world to make this Instructor Course a more realistic way of teaching. A way that all instructors can use all over the world, not only on the Gili Islands.
Sander will concentrate on the PADI IDC candidates weaknesses and adjust his PADI Instructor Development Schedule to the needs of the candidates. He is not acting as a factory to produce PADI Instructors!
Before the PADI Instructor Course starts Sander will have WhatsApp contact with the candidates where he explains how the digital crewpack works, gives the candidates every day practices of the dive theory, and where he is having explanation sessions with the candidates.
As a dive resort owner, a PADI Course Director and a DDI Instructor Trainer Examinar Sander is not only staying in the box when it becomes to teaching methods. Sander will show you that teaching is providing the information to your students. This can be done in different ways, but the most important part is that the students will understand it and become safe divers!
The Gili Islands are renowned for their vibrant marine life and pristine dive sites, making them an ideal location to complete your PADI Instructor Examination (IE). PADI schedules two Instructor Examinations on the Gili Islands: one on Gili Trawangan and one on Gili Air. The examination on Gili Air takes place immediately after the Gili Trawangan IE, offering flexibility for candidates based on their training location.
The PADI IE on Gili Air will proceed when there are a minimum of four PADI IDC candidates. If this minimum requirement is not met, Oceans 5 Gili Air ensures a seamless transition for candidates by arranging all necessary transport to Gili Trawangan, allowing them to participate in the Instructor Examination there. This arrangement ensures that all candidates have the opportunity to complete their IE in a supportive environment, regardless of the final location.
